To
promote a more level playing field and give ST
candidates a better chance to succeed in competitive
examinations, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of
India supports a scheme for coaching for disadvantaged
ST candidates in quality coaching institutions to enable
them to appear in competitive examinations and succeed
in obtaining and appropriate job in public/private
sector.
Office
of the Triblal Welfare Commissioner, Welfare Department,
Govt. of Jharkhand invites proposals from State
Government (Pre-Examination Coaching Centres-PECs)/Central/State
University and the Registered Private Institutions for
implementing the scheme of free
coaching to students belonging to STs during the
financial 2007-08.
The
programme would cover special coaching for :
(1)
Competitive Examination having all India
recruitment character such as Civil
Service Examination.
(2)
Entrance examinations for Medical,
Engineering, MBA and other
Professional Courses.
(3)
Other exams conducted by UPSC like CDS,
NDA etc./Staff
Selection Commission (SSC) Exams/ Subordinate
/ Lower Subordinate Services Exams, Central Excise, etc.
(4)
BSRBs/
RRBs, General Insurance Corporation, etc.
The
detail of the scheme, application form terms &
conditions can be obtained from the office of the Tribal
Welfare Commissioner during any working day & time.
ELIGIBILITY OF INSTITUTIONS:
Institutions
of repute run by the State Government (Pre-Examination
Coaching Centres-PECs)/Central/State University and the
Registered Private Institutions, who are running
coaching courses and have achieved distinction measured
in terms of success rates of candidates coached by them
during the last three years would be considered. Minimum
success rate, measured by the number of candidates out
of the candidates coached, who qualify in any of the
examinations shall be 10% and above for Registered
Private Institutions and 5% and above for State/Central
Institutions and Universities may be given priority for
grants.
With
the above objective, proposals are invited in two (2)
copies along with soft copy from desirous State
Government (Pre-Examination Coaching Centres-PECs)/Central/State
University and the Registered Private Institutions.
Tribal
Welfare Commissioner, Jharkhand, Ranchi reserves the
right to accept/reject any or all proposal without
assigning any reason whatsoever.
Proposals
in two copies may be submitted in person or by post so
as to reach us latest by 4.00 PM of 10th March, 2008 along with the all information duly filled in the
prescribed format with the documentary proof. |
