Chaibasa, Dist – W. Singhbhum, invites bids for the
construction of works detailed in the table.
The bidders may submit bids for any or all of the following

Bidding document (and additional copies) may be
purchased from the office of (i) The Chief Engineer
(Communication) Road Construction Department, CMPDI Campus,
Kanke Road, Ranchi, Jharkhand 834008 (ii) The Superintendent
Engineer, Road Construction Department, Road Circle, Chaibasa,
Dist. West Singhbhum, 833201 (iii) The Executive Engineer,
Road Construction Department, Road Division, Chaibasa Dist.
West Singhbhum, 833201 from 10.12.2007
to 12.12.2007, for
a non-refundable fee (three sets) as indicated, in the form of
Demand draft on any Scheduled bank payable at Chaibasa
in favour of The Executive Engineer, Road Construction
Department, Road Division, Chaibasa. Interested bidders may
obtain further information from the office of the undersigned.
Bidding documents requested by mail will be dispatched
by registered/speed post on payment of an extra amount of Rs
500.00 (Rs. five hundred) ,in the form of separate demand
draft on any schedule bank payable at Chaibasa in favor of The
Executive Engineer, Road Construction Department, Road
Division, Chaibasa.
The offices mentioned in Para 2(i) to 2(iii) will not
be held responsible for the postal delay if
any, in the delivery of the documents or non-receipt of
the same.
3. Bids must be accompanied by security of the
amount specified for the work in the table, payable at
Chaibasa and drawn in favor of The Executive Engineer, Road
Construction Department, Road Division, Chaibasa
Bid
security will have to be in anyone of the forms as specified
in Clause 16 of the bidding
document and shall have to be valid for 45 days beyond
the validity of the bid. Bid security
amount may vary depending upon the estimated cost @ of
1% of estimated cost mentioned in the bidding document ( rounded to nearest thousand rupees ).
4.
Bids must be delivered to the following offices
in two sealed envelops (ie one for technical bid and other for
financial bid), both sealed envelopes must be sealed in a
single envelope.
(i) The Chief Engineer (Communication) Road Construction Department,
CMPDI Campus, Kanke
Road, Ranchi, Jharkhand
(2) District control Room Office, Ranchi, on or
before 15.00 hours on 24.12.07. The one
envelope containing technical bid will be opened on the
same day at 15.30 hours, in the presence of the bidders who
wish to attend. If the offices happens to be closed on the
date of receipt of
the bids as specified, the bids will be received and opened on
the next working day at the same time and venue
5. A pre-bid meeting will be
held on 17.12.2007 at 12.00 hours at the office of the Chicf
Engineer (Communication) R.C.D. C.M.P.D.I. campus, Kanke Road
Ranchi, Jharkhand to clarify the issues and to answer
questions on any matter that may be raised at that stage as
stated in clause 9.2 of
‘Instructions to Bidders’ of the bidding
document.
The name and the mailing address of the applicant shall be clearly marked
on the envelope.
