The Government of Jharkhand is implementing a number of
IT Projects which require computers, printers, UPS and
batteries, etc. In
our Treasuries Computerization Project, we had procured UPS
along with batteries about three years back.
Some of the batteries of these UPS have completed their
lives and therefore, the Government would like to replace the
batteries for the UPS. The
total number of batteries to be replaced will be at about 31
locations. However,
the current requirement is for eight Treasuries (Palamu, Bokaro,
Chaibasa, Giridih, Doranda Treasury, Tenughat, Pakur).
The Treasuries have two types of UPS – 2 KVA and 3 KVA.
Each 2 KVA UPS takes six batteries of 26 AH and each 3
KVA UPS takes 10 batteries of 42 AH.
These are all maintenance free batteries.
The total requirement of 26 AH batteries will be around
60 and that of 42 AH batteries will be 30.
The Government would like to enter into a rate contract
valid for a period of one year for supply of these batteries.
The immediate requirement of which has been indicated as
above and the estimated requirement over a period of one year
will be approximately 240 batteries.
2. The Vendor will have to install the batteries at the
locations specified. He
can take away the existing used up batteries with him.
3. The reputed
manufacturers/suppliers of batteries may submit their quotations
(quoting the unit price for each type of batteries) so as to
reach the undersigned on or before 5th October 2007
13.00 hours. The
price quoted shall be inclusive of all taxes and duties
including the installation charges.
4. The tender shall be
opened on 05.10.07 at 3.00 P.M. by the Purchase committee
constituted for this purpose.
The firms or their representatives may participate in the
Tender Opening Process. The
tenderer has to submit EMD of 5000/- in favour of Principal
Secretary, Department of Information Technology.
The Department reserves the right to reject the tender
partially or fully without assigning any reasons. |
