TENDER NOTICE – 02/TREAS/IT-2007
FOR PROCUREMENT OF BIOMETRIC DEVICES

1. Government of Jharkhand is implementing a number of IT Projects.  Some of these projects require authentication through biometric devices.  The Department of Information Technology would like to procure suitable (thumb impression) biometric devices for authentication.  Initially, the requirement will be of the order of 50 devices for our Treasury Computerization and Networking project.  After deployment of these, more biometric devices will be needed for similar jobs in other projects in near future.  The approximate requirement in the current financial year will be of the order of 200 biometric devices.

2. The manufacturers/suppliers of the biometric devices may submit the quotations so as to reach the undersigned by the close of business hours on August 20^th, 2007.  The manufacturers/suppliers should provide the cost per piece inclusive of all taxes and duties along with the specifications of the biometric devices.  A firm can quote for more than one model of biometric device in case it so desires.

3. The tender shall be opened on the next date i.e. 21^st August 2007 at 3.00 P.M. by the Purchase Committee constituted for this purpose.  The firms or their representatives may participate in the Tender Opening Process.
